Holiday Mulled Wine Recipe

For those that already know, this is a delicious drink to serve over the Holidays. And for those that don’t know, TRY IT. I used to be a ‘purist’ when it came to wine, until I tried mulled wine. I love to simmer it in my Crock Pot all afternoon – it fills the home with the best smell!

  1. Add all ingredients (except for the brandy) to a 3-quart or larger slow cooker or large pot. Stir to combine.  Cook on low until warm, 30 minutes to one hour, depending on your slow cooker. Stir in the brandy.
  2. Ladle into mugs and serve with an orange slice, cinnamon sticks and anise. To keep the wine warm, leave the slow cooker on the “warm” setting. If your slow cooker does not have a warm setting, alternate between “low” and off. You don’t want to cook off all the booze!
