How do I make wine?
Make Your Wine With Us
Our facility is specially designed and outfitted to make your wine crafting experience easy and enjoyable! If you decide to make your wine onsite, you’ll first select your wine – we can recommend a great style based on what you already like to drink. We will then prepare your juice – yes your wine comes from the juice of actual wine grapes! Finally you’ll sprinkle the yeast – you are the winemaker after-all!
Now we take over the labour of love and see your wine through its fermentation journey. Over the next several weeks we carefully follow all of the necessary steps to create your delicious wine. Our facility ensures the wine lives in a sterile environment and at its perfect temperature – all good things for making wine!
Once your wine is complete, we’ll let you know and you’ll come in to bottle it. You can either bring your own clean bottles, or purchase new bottles at the store. After bottling, we can create you a custom label for your custom wine and you can top it off with a coordinating shrink.
Make Your Wine At Home
It’s also easy and rewarding to make your wine at home. You’ll need a bit of equipment, which is inexpensive and pays for itself after your first couple of batches. We can get you set up with all of the equipment you’ll need to get started. All of our wine kits come with easy to follow step-by-step instructions – and if you get lost, we’re just a phone call away! Making wine at home typically only requires about 4 hours total over the course of a few weeks. The process can vary slightly from wine to wine, but generally there are 4 basic steps: Primary Fermentation, Secondary Fermentation, Stabilizing and Clearing and Bottling – don’t worry you’ll have everything you need to know in your kit instructions.
Experience craft winemaking for yourself and see why nearly 20 million bottles of WinexpertTM wine is crafted each year.
Whether you make your wine at home, or we make it in store for you, the process remains relatively the same:
